Elder Willie Smith Jr. was born again in 1986 and was filled with The Holy Spirit in 1987. He grew up attending Mt. Temer Baptist Church and served in the Greater Bright Morning Star Church Youth Choir.
In 1988, while in Biloxi, Mississippi, Willie Smith Jr. was called into the ministry. In 1992, he became a licensed minister and in 1994, an ordained elder. Elder Willie, a man with a passion for worshiping God, is known as a Man of Faith, a Man of Prayer and an effective Preacher and Teacher of The Word. His favorite scripture is Romans 4:20; “He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God.”
Throughout his 25 years of ministry, Elder Willie has served in various capacities. At Holy Tabernacle Church in Fort Worth as Praise & Worship Leader, Vice-President of the Adult Choir, Youth Director, Adult Sunday School Teacher, Elder’s Council Member and Coordinator of Ministries. Elder Willie Smith Jr. served for many years as the Director of Partner Care at The Wisdom Center, a ministry of Dr. Mike Murdock, also in Fort Worth, Texas. Elder Willie Smith Jr. also served as Director of Kidz ON TOP Children’s Ministry at Tabernacle of Praise Church in Benbrook, Texas; under the leadership of Bishop Gary Oliver.
Elder Willie Smith Jr. and his wife, founded VOH Ministries, in December 2011 and is currently serving as Pastor.
In January of 2010, Elder Willie and Johnnell Smith were married. They share 11 children in their union. Elder Willie and Johnnell Smith currently reside in Fort Worth, Texas.
